Everyone is unemployed!

In a time when everyone seems to be losing their jobs the job hunt for myself and the majority of my MBA classmates is looking increasingly bleak. Headline after headline reports joblosses all over the city and apparently it is only just the beginning.

One of my biggest problems with the current economic crisis is not the fact that it is happening because it is obvious (especially in retrospect) that it was inevitable. My problem is with the media, in particular newspapers that engage in fear mongering day after day after day. I can't help feeling that we are spiralling the drain right now and I don't see any of this changing without a PMA*.

Anyway, so you get the point, I don't have a job yet and it all seems a little futile right now, but perseverence is key and I will get there. Just don't be surprised if I'm serving you at the Sainsbury's chckout.

* Positive Mental Attitude - Don't blame me, I was taught this acronym recently and of course being the pessimist that I am I had never heard of it.

Oh dear - there is always tech jobs to come back to... that said, 75% of our floor are now being restructured which is fancy word for we don't know what to do with you yet, or how to tell you about this, but you're FIRED.

Keep that PMA up, man. If I'm still employed in the next month or so, I will buy you a beer.
